IIT Bombay’s December institution, running since 1971 and named after Duke Ellington’s jazz standard. From a ₹5,000 first budget to a 1.5-lakh-plus footfall, Mood Indigo is the fest every other fest quietly measures itself against: Livewire, Choreonite and the legendary Pro-Nights included.

Named after Duke Ellington’s 1930 jazz piece ‘Mood Indigo’. Started in 1971 with a budget of Rs. 5,000. Nandan Nilekani (Infosys co-founder) was among early organisers. Asia’s largest college cultural fest.
